Gol Za Promjenu - Futbol Turnir

What is it?

The solidarity futsal tournament "Goal for change" was organized in Zagreb in June 2023, with the collaboration of the local association Arka Korablja. The goal of the event was multiple: on one hand, to create visibility and a space for integration for the people of Arka Korablja, who are affected by disabilities; on the other hand, to improve the quality of life in one of the more segregated districts of Zagreb by organizing an event for the local community.

My role:

I was part of the team of organizers. We were responsible for the whole project cycle management, which included:

• writing the project and securing a fund of 1500€ by the European Union

• organizing and managing the event in all its aspects

• managing the evaluation, dissemination, and follow-up

Outcome:

The event saw the participation of 80+ people, with 8 teams taking part in the tournament. The users of Arka Korablja (people with disabilities) were successfully integrated into the project planning and execution and donations for the association were collected.
