EUSAIR4Youth

Description:

The one-week long Conference "EUSAIR4Youth", organized by UniAdrion, gathered a group of young people from Italy and the Balkan area in Brussels, to visit the main EU institutions and hold talks about the issues that youth in the EUSAIR region faces.

My experience:

The Conference allowed me to interact with young people that deeply care about their society, young changemakers that are engaged in various areas of change, from culture to environment. I was able to take part in interesting talks, both in closed groups and in the presence of EU officials. I enjoyed the sessions as I have a particular interest in both Italy and the Balkan area and strive to promote positive political examples in both areas.

My learnings:

I was inspired by the perseverance and knowledge of young people in the Balkans and in Italy, and I learnt more about the general political climate of the Balkans as seen by its young citizens' perspective. I learnt about new platforms for communication and local organizations.

Skills acquired:  diplomacy    networking    understanding of regional policies and politics

My outcomes:

I used and will use the network for my own projects and workshops. The awareness of the regional politics and feelings of young people around their political environment motivates me to create platforms for communication and political capacity-building programs.
