Road to the 2024 Elections

Description:

The 4-days long Conference "Road to the 2024 Elections", organized by ALDA Europe, gathered NGO leaders and workers, teachers, youth workers, and people with an interest in politics in Strasbourg, to discuss the upcoming 2024 European elections. The goal was to offer a networking platform.

My experience:

I joined as a youth worker and community builder. I had the chance to learn more about the Région Grand-Est, where Strasbourg is located, and to engage in interesting talks with fellow community leaders and NGO workers.

My learnings:

During the 4 days, my learnings were very disparate. I learnt and discussed the importance of a business approach to non-profit work; I understood the needs to properly advertise and engage young people in voting and political representation processes; finally, I also learnt more about sustainable mobility in the Grand-Est region and the history of the city of Strasbourg itself.

Skills acquired:  diplomacy    networking 

My outcomes:

I acquired a network of committed and like-minded people.
